Stephen Brennan was hired by the Wilton Police Department in March of 1995 after completing the Milford Police Academy in 1994.

In June 2003, Brennan was promoted to the rank of Detective and in May 2005 to Sergeant.

Lt. Brennan graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1991, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management and Organization and in 2006 from Boston University with a Masters in Criminal Justice.  Lt. Brennan is also facilitating Criminology for the on-line Masters program at Boston University.

During Lt. Brennan's career with the Wilton Police Department, he has been a:

    • DARE Instructor assigned to the Youth Division
    • A bike patrol officer
    • A Field Training Officer
    • The department's first School Resource Officer
    • He has also been a member of the Crime Prevention Unit and is currently the joint leader of the Honor Guard
    • He is the Domestic Violence Coordinator for the police Department
    • He is also the department's Team Leader of the Dive Rescue and Emergency Response Team
*Editor's Note: Sincerest apologies to Stephen Brennan. We listed him as being promoted from Lieutenant to Sergeant, which, as it turns out, is impossible. It was the other way around. He was promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant. Entirely our mistake.
