Another Underage Drinking Party Broken up in Wilton

About twenty juveniles were found drinking at a residence while the homeowners were away.

At 10:15 p.m. on April 28, received an anonymous phone call reporting a possible underage drinking party on Wild Duck Road; the caller said that “beer cans were visible outside the house” and the residence was noisy, said Captain John Lynch of the Wilton Police Department.

Police arrived at the house and found about 20 juveniles, all "around the age group of sixteen" years-old, were involved in a party, said Lynch. Lynch said that the parents were out of town and that the party was supposed to just be a handful of friends but snowballed into a larger get-together, one of the youths reportedly told responding officers.

Police called the parents of the underage attendees. No charges have been placed on the homeowners, who, , may have been unaware that the party was going on in their absence. Some or all of the juveniles were also referred to the school resource officer.
