Brennan Bags Public Service Award from AIA CT
Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan recognized for his efforts to bring many town projects to fruition.
In recognition of his efforts to bring many municipal projects to fruition, including the stadium project at Wilton High School, Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan was recently awarded the Connecticut Chapter of the American Institute of Architects' Public Service Award.
Other town projects for which Brennan was recognized include the formation of the Georgetown Neighborhood Historic District, the renovation of the Marvin Tavern, the renovation of the Ebenezer Bennett House and the plan for the Veterans' Memorial Green, according to a report in the Wilton Villager.
With about 1,300 members, including "architects, interns working towards licensure, students, and professionals in affiliated fields," AIA CT "encourages design excellence, and works to improve society through a concern for the quality of the built and natural environments," according to the trade group's website.
