Georgetown Gallop 5k Results

The sixth-annual run attracted a record 51 participation.

The Wilton Chamber of Commerce and the Wilton Family Y held the  6th annual  “Georgetown Gallop” 5K Road Race on Sunday, June 12th.

To kick-off  the annual Georgetown Day street festival. The road race  attracted its largest field of runners  to date, with 51 entrants competing along  the picturesque course. The Gallop also included a Kids Fun Run. Trophies were awarded to the top three men and women  finishers.

In the men’s category, Mark Thompson finished first, with a time of 20.01. Brothers Tristan Haas and Zachary Haas of Wilton tied for second at 21.47. Women’s winners included Elisabeth Andrews, who took first place with a time of 23.47, Casey Chase, who came in second at 23.54, and Mary Haas, who finished third at 24.36.

All Kids K runners received participation medals. Several local businesses supported the Georgetown Gallop: Athlete’s Foot of Wilton provided t-shirts and water bottles; Caraluzzi’s donated post-race fruit and supplies for the water station; Wilton Stop & Shop contributed bottled water; and the Wilton Family Y and Wilton Chamber provided gift bags to every runner.  The collective organizations extend hearty congratulations to everyone who participated and made it such a successful event.
