St. Patrick's Day Fun, Puppets and More

This week's planner is full of St. Patrick's Day fun and even a little holiday called St. 'Paddle's' Day.

Where/When: The Wilton Library/Wednesday March 16 from 4 – 4:30p.m.

Why Go: Mrs. Keogh will read classic Irish tales.   

Pricing: Free

Where/When: The Wilton YMCA/Saturday March 19 at 9 a.m.

Why Go: Celebrate St. Paddle’s Day at the Y with paddle tennis matches and a BBQ lunch.  Benefits YMCA charities.

Pricing:$65 to play, no fee to watch the game.  Be sure to register online if you would like to participate in the competition. 

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk; Friday March 18 and Saturday March 19 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. 

Who Go: Pick which night works best for your family.  Spend an evening with the kids and Curious George.  The evening will feature story time and hands-on activities.     

Pricing: Adults and Children $12, Children under a year old are free, and Seniors are $10.  Members are free.  Visit website to register. 

Where/When: Earthplace, the Nature Discovery Center in Westport/Saturday March 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate the day before the solstice with the kids enjoying the signs of spring.  Make crafts, take a nature walk and plant a seed.  All ages.   

Pricing: Admission to the center is $7 for adults and children over 12 and $5 for children and seniors.  Free for members. 

Where/When: The Ridgefield Playhouse/Saturday March 19 at 11am and 2 p.m. 

Why Go: Bits n’ Pieces Puppet Theater’s presentation of the classic children’s tale, with a bit of a twist.

Pricing: $15 per ticket.  Purchase tickets via website for either showing.
