Stolen hubcaps, from a driveway, worth $25 each

2/7: Four silver hubcaps, valued at a total of $100, were stolen sometime during the night from a 2006 Toyota Corolla while it was parked at a Ruscoe Road residence.

2/9:  A 2004 Volvo wagon broadsided a 1997 Ford Taurus after it pulled out of Wilton Meadows on Rte. 7, police said. The driver of the Taurus, Sophia Johnson, 89, of Wilton, reported shoulder pain and was transported to Norwalk Hospital; her vehicle sustained extensive damage and required the Wilton Fire Dept. to remove the vehicle’s driver side door in order to extract the driver. The driver of the Volvo, Holyl Barker, 40, of Wilton, and her five-year-old passenger, were not injured. Police issued Johnson a warning for failure to grant the right of way.

2/13: A 17-year-old Wilton male struck another car with his vehicle in stop-and-go traffic on Rte. 7 by Sharp Hill Road. Christina Piazza, 26, of Wilton, complained of neck pain and was transported to Norwalk Hospital. Police issued the 17-year-old a warning for following too close, according to police.

2/8: A vehicle driven by Amy Collins rear-ended a vehicle driven by Linda Bonnet while Bonnet was stopped at a traffic light on Rte. 7 and Honey Hill Road, according to police reports. Bennet, 47, of New Rochelle, NY, complained of neck injuries but refused medical treatment, police said. Police issued Collins, 52, of Wilton, a warning for following too close.

PRAWN System nabs another

2/12: Police used their system to track down and inform a Norwalk man of an outstanding warrant for his failing to appear in court for a 2011 DUI arrest. The accused, Paul Izzi, 32, turned himself in, posted a $5,000 bond and was issued a promise to appear in court.

Pot infractions

2/13: Police issued Jose Torres, 27, of Norwalk, an infraction for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana after police stopped him for a motor vehicle violation , according to police reports. Police also gave the accused a verbal warning for failure to renew his registration.

2/11: Police issued Christopher Anderson, 21, of Westport, an infractions ticket for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and possession of a glass smoking pipe, police said. Police said they stopped the accused’s vehicle after they received a “harassment complaint,” although the “harassment charges were unfounded.”
