Wilton PD Working with FBI on Parisot Case

The Wilton Police Department is teaming up with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to try and solve this complicated and extended case, even as Parisot's family brings a civil suit against another Wilton family.

The family of Nicholas Parisot has brought a civil lawsuit against another Wilton family for their 13-year-old son's untimely death in June, but the Wilton Police Department is still a ways away from bringing the case to its conclusion.

Lieutenant Don Wakeman of the Wilton PD sent out a release on Wednesday saying the department could offer no comment on the recent civil lawsuit development, in light of the ongoing investigation.  He did mention that the department has a suspect and even went so far as to apply for an arrest warrant, without result, and is now working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"It's a case I don't expect to see closed out anytime soon," Wakeman said.

Despite many interviews, a host of evidence retrieved from the scene of the crime, and DNA evidence obtained from four people of interest through search warrants, the Parisot case is still far from being resolved.  And despite meeting with the State's Attorney at length, the Department's request for an arrest warrant was declined, citing a need for further evidence.

"All local and State personnel involved in this investigation are keenly aware of its importance to the Department, the Wilton community, and most importantly the Parisot family," Wakeman said in the release.  "All involved are committed to obtaining evidence to support a criminal arrest and investigators continue to build the case toward that goal."

The civil suit is only in its infancy.  Parisot's parents and their attorney are waiting for the defendants, Glenn and Barbara Knight and their 12-year-old son who were all named in the suit, to respond.

Meanwhile, the Knight's residence, 97 Hickory Hill Road, has been put up for sale with William Raveis of Wilton.  An open house for the four-bedroom, 3000+ sq. ft. property, listed at just under $1.1 million, was scheduled for yesterday.

Police are still asking anyone with information about the case to contact their Detective Division at 203-834-6260.
