This spring, Darien Library will host a new series for students of all ages and their families: "College Admissions 101: Resources for Families," a two-part panel series during the month of April.

There are so many things to consider during the college application process -- the essay, the interview, SATs, and finding ways to stand out among all the rest. The panel discussions will offer many tips to help with preparation.

The Admissions Process

Learn tips and tricks for mastering the college application process, get ideas for gap year options, and hear ideas about using social media marketing to enhance applications.

BASKETBALL

VOLLEYBALL

For girls in 6^th-8^th grade. For beginners and the experienced. Athletes will learn how to pass, set, spike, dig and serve. Progressive drills and mini-games will be used to help give athletes a better understanding of volleyball. For more info go to www.darienysports.com.

For boys and girls in grades kindergarten through 8^th. Learn swing fundamentals along with basic rules and etiquette of the game. This TGA Golf Enrichment Program is designed to develop each child's passion for golf while developing and improving their motor skills and coordination, helping with focus and concentration and boosting self confidence. SOCCER

Kiddie Kickers is an introductory soccer program catered to children ages 3-5. We focus on the fundamentals of soccer and teamwork in a safe and non-competitive environment. Ambler Offers Ukranian Egg Painting, Pysanky

Ambler Farm will hold a class in the ancient craft of pysanky - or Ukrainian Easter Egg Decorating to most of us - Saturday, April 3, at 2pm in the Carriage Barn. Adults and children 8 and up are welcome to learn this form of artistry, a Ukranian tradition, just in time for Easter. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Instructor Susan Clark will teach attendees and guide them step-by-step through the process of decorating eggs for their homes.

Ridgefield Responds Flip Flop Drive

Flip Flop Drive for the people of Jacmel, Haiti. Flip flops are considered a precious commodity in Haiti, a country where the people often go without shoes. Our drive will be an exciting way to help the people of Jacmel during such a traumatic time, and a great way for our kids to understand and help others in need.

Please bring your new or gently used flip flops to any Ridgefield Public School, St. Mary School, Kilometres, Yoga Shala or the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club from March 29 to April 9.
