  1. The weather: The forecast for Thursday calls for sun with a high temperature of 77F, according to The Weather Channel.

  2. Learn about maps: Explore the ways in which Connecticut has been surveyed, charted, imagined, and pictured with There’s a Map for That!, a special exhibition organized by Connecticut Explored in celebration of the magazine’s 10th anniversary. Free. 10 a.m. at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road, Fairfield.

  • Catch a free concert, part 1: Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts presents: Emily Mure & Friends, with Miko & the Musket as the opening act. The show is a double bill of indie folk-rock, R&B and pop. 7 p.m. Levitt Pavilion, 40 Jesup Road, Westport.

  • Catch a free concert, part 2: Maplewood at Strawberry Hill is hosting its first concert series this summer on its patio at 73 Strawberry Hill Ave. in Norwalk. This week, entertainer and showman Ron Spataro is performing from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free. RSVP to Leslie at 203-220-9600.

  • Check out a “Ladies Night”: The Gilded Nest in Ridgefield is hosting Ladies Night, where there will be special deals on jewelry, home décor and interior design, and information on nutritional products.
