Disney Princess Meet-and-Greet, Farmers' Market and More Today in Wilton

Here are a few things to know about Wilton on Wednesday, Aug. 14, to help you plan your day. Check out the Patch calendar of events for more things to do.

  1. The Weather: The forecast for Wednesday is mainly sunny with a high around 75F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

  2. Meet the Disney Princesses: For 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., children can meet and have their pictures taken with their favorite Disney Princesses at Wilton Library. Merida, Aurora, Belle, Mulan, Cinderella, Snow White and, of course, the Fairy Godmother will all make an appearance. Children can make their own autograph booklets so that they can collect the signatures of all the princesses. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. Click here for more info.

  3. Guitar Performance for Children: Children ages 2-6 and their caregivers are invited to a performance at Wilton Library by Robert the Guitar Guy, who uses music, props, movement, and dance to entertain. Click here for more info.

  4. Wilton Farmers' Market: The market at the Wilton Historical Society will be open from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. today. Support your local farmers. Click here for more info. 

  5. Free Concert at Calf Pasture Beach: Pack a picnic and comfortable seating then head to Calf Pasture Beach for an evening of free entertainment. Before the 7 p.m. concert, attendees can check out several hundred autos in a Classic Car Show. The Barons are one of the tri-state's hottest "oldies" groups, featuring music from the 60s and 70s.
