Save the Date for Dream Ride 2012 to Benefit Special Olympics, August 19th

Motorcycle and Car Enthusiasts from 8 states, 26 start locations, for 1 cause

On Sunday, August 19, 2012, Special Olympics supporters from eight states and 26 satellite start locations will come together at The Farmington Club, Farmington, Connecticut for the 12th Annual Dream Ride, presented by Bozzuto’s Inc. and The Hometown Foundation Inc. Thousands of motorcycle and car enthusiasts from throughout the Northeast are expected to participate to enjoy the ride, celebrate the achievements of Special Olympics and help inspire respect and inclusion for people of all abilities.

In addition to the traditional motorcycle ride, Dream Cruise 2012 will be presented by Papa’s Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to give car enthusiasts the opportunity to take part in the event.  Not only will participants have the chance to exhibit their classy and classic cars and trucks, but they may also have the opportunity to cruise with a Special Olympics athlete to the Dream Ride destination site.

When they reach the Farmington Club, motorcycle riders and passengers, Dream Cruise participants and Special Olympics athletes will be treated to a Black Angus strip steak and boneless chicken breast luncheon courtesy of Bozzuto’s Inc. and The Farmington Club. They’ll meet up with the industry’s leading vendors, listen to live music and much more! Headlining the event is The Flame Band, featuring musicians who aim to change the way people with disabilities are viewed through song. The On Call Band is also scheduled to perform.

Last year, participants from New England, New York and Pennsylvania helped to raise more than $220,000 for Special Olympics. Over the past ten years, the event has raised over $1,385,000.

Sponsors include Campus Customs (Presenting Sponsor); Crystal Farms; Steinger, Iscoe & Greene; Monster; Dasani; Trantolo & Trantolo; Aqua Turf; Farmington Club; The Hometown Foundation; and your local IGA Supermarket.

British soldier was hacked to death with a machete. The soldier is not allowed to have a gun but theRead More terrorists had a firearm but chose to behead the soldier. The suspects spoke to camera after attack. “We swear by Almighty Allah, we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone. The only reasons we killed this man is because Muslims are dying daily. This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. We apologize that woman had to see this today, but in our lands our women have to see the same. You people will never be safe. Remove your government. They don’t care about you.”

Israel knows who their enemy is and are not afraid to call them out. After 4 Americans were killedRead More by terrorists in Benghazi, when violence in the Middle East was raging, President Obama in partnership with Hillary Clinton spent $70,000 in taxpayer money on a commercial that aired on Pakistani television apologizing for the "video." We are sorry. We are going to get the man who made the video who exercised freedom of speech and arrest him. Any terrorist suspects questioned yet?

PR - It appears that the writer of this item is none other than McMurphy who has been polluting theRead More Patch since the new format arose (just click on the writer's name and you will be taken to McMurphy's profile page). This person is also Randall McMurphy and all the old names including AZ. From all indications, he/she is also DB Cooper so this person is posting on this Board and then commenting on his/her own posts. As someone pointed out a couple of weeks ago, trying to trick other readers is a violation of the Patch's rules, and yet it continues.
