Everton America CT is pleased to announce that the Boys U13 Regional team has advanced to play in the US Youth Soccer 2012 Region 1 Northeast League Final against Western United FC of Southborough, MA. The final championship game is scheduled for this Saturday, May 12th at 8:00 PM on Kristine Lilly Field in , CT.
The league runs from March 1 – May 14. Qualifying teams are placed into one of two brackets where they are required to play 7 games throughout the season. The winner of each bracket moves on to play in the final. Everton won their respective bracket with 6 wins, 1 tie, while Western United finished out the other bracket with 5 wins, 2 losses. Throughout the season Everton had great success beating many of the region’s top ranked teams including Beachside of CT, FSA FC U13 Boys Navy and Brentwood SC Aquila to name a few. The Everton Boys U13 Regional team is currently ranked 1st in the State, 4th in the Region and 7th in the Nation according to rankings posted by Gotsoccer.com. The team is coached by Alex Cunliffe, Everton America’s Director of Coaching.
