Sabrina's Encore Productions will be opening its 2012 summer season next week!! All performances will be taking place at the David F. Clune Center for the Arts located on the Wilton High School campus.
The season will open with Godspell Junior. Featuring a cast of students entering grades 7 through 9, Godspell Junior revolves around the parables of Jesus based on the Gospel According to St Matthew. The musical features an exciting pop/rock score by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and is accompanied by a live 4-piece orchestra. Godspell Junior opens Thursday, July 26 at 7:30pm and will also have an afternoon performance on Saturday, July 28 at 4pm.
Next, the SEP season continues with Legally Blonde the Musical, performed by high school students from around the area! Based on the Reese Witherspoon movie, Legally Blonde tells the story of sorority girl Elle Woods and her unlikely entrance into Harvard Law School as she chases down ex-boyfriend Warner to prove to him that she can be the "serious" girl he's looking for. Accompanied by professional 15-piece live orchestra, Legally Blonde opens Friday, July 27 and has its second and final show on Saturday, July 28. Both performances will be at 8pm.
Finally, SEP presents Disney's The AristoCats Kids. The culmination of SEP's summer camp program for students entering grades 1 through 6, The AristoCats Kids will put up its one and only performance at 2pm on Saturday, July 28.
