DEANE Designer Terry Scarborough Wins Home Design Award from Westchester Home Magazine, Featured in Magazine
Stamford, Conn. (January, 2013)--- Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer Terry Scarborough of DEANE in Stamford and New Canaan was recently awarded one of Westchester Home Magazine’s Home Design Awards for her kitchen design in a Bronxville, New York home. The project is also featured in a full page of the magazine’s current issue. Scarborough was a chosen winner from over one hundred submissions by a panel of qualified judges in the industry for the magazine’s second annual design award.
Scarborough updated the look of the kitchen to suit the home’s Tudor style and reconfigured it to create multiple zones for cooking, socializing, eating and prepping.
Dark walnut cabinetry was chosen, and a large banquette was designed as an attachment to the kitchen island and facing the patio doors to create a truly cozy, eat-in family kitchen experience. Textures and materials compliment the cabinetry with a sophisticated palette and includes a Viking range in a rich plum color, custom Pyrolave countertops from France, a Wild Chianti granite island top, a backsplash of reflective tiles, metallic gray leather upholstery and pony hide chairs for the banquette dining space.
