COMEDIANS SANDRA BERNHARD & LIZZ WINSTEAD SHARE WIT & HUMOR WITH PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND SUPPORTERS FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY

On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England (PPSNE) will present Funny, Feminist, Fearless. This entertaining evening will take place at 7 p.m. at the Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court, Westport, CT with a post-show reception for sponsors. Singer, writer, actor and activist Sandra Bernhard and comedian, activist and co-creator and former head writer of “The Daily Show” Lizz Winstead, will take part in witty and topical conversation, which will be followed by a Q&A from audience members. This is the comedians’ first show together and it is for one night only.

Bernhard is known for her satirical one-woman shows, music, movie and television roles, including Nancy Bartlett, the first openly gay character on a network sitcom, “Roseanne.” She often mixes art and activism, and is a longtime supporter of women’s and gay rights. Through her art, Bernhard has inspired generations of women and men to stand up and speak out for what they believe in.
