Come & try your first class in January for an introductory rate of $10!

Regular class rates are $22 drop in or $200 for a 10 class card.

 Class Description:

 The term viṅyāsa

refers to the alignment of movement and breath, a method which turns static yoga postures into a dynamic flow. The length of one inhale or one exhale dictates the length of time spent transitioning between postures. Poses are then held for a predefined number of breaths. In effect, attention is placed on the breath and the journey between the postures rather than solely on achieving perfect body alignment in a pose. Great for toning, strength and flexibility while reducing stress.

This class moves is great for beginners as well as seasoned yoga practitioners.

Classes end with a relaxing savasana (final relaxation) where each participant receives a relaxing head massage with lavender oil.

When my last yoga instructor "retired" I looked long and hard for Kathy. I tried many other instructors. Kathy offers yoga for all levels. Her instruction is thorough and intuitive and does not interrupt the meditative-like energy of a yoga class. Because of her deep knowledge of physiology and bodywork, Kathy leads a class that eases into yoga postures in a natural manner and builds prana/heat throughout growing more intense as the body warms. She offers a variety of levels during the class, so the student can choose an appropriate intensity. Kathy's classes energize the body on all levels - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. And, Kathy's relaxation ritual at the end is not to be missed!

I have looked a long time for a yoga class that would fit. I love Kathy's classes and instruction. She brings one gently through each pose, intensifying at the level appropriate for each level. I find her style in keeping with inner yoga meditation not like competitive outer directed yoga I have found disconnecting at other studios. Absolutely recommend taking her Thursday class at Wilton Congregational Church as a gentle introduction or Friday class for a more intense level. You will immediately want more…she is a great teacher.

Kathy embodies the very best of yoga, aligning its physical, spiritual and emotional benefits in classes that strengthen and inspire. It is, without doubt, the high point of my week. Her professional background in physiology helps me connect the ethereal aspects of my yoga practice with the physical ones. I better understand the mechanics of my body and the very real relationship between form and psyche. Filled with morning light, the Wilton Congregational Church provides a peaceful and beautiful space in which to practice. Try it once--you'll be hooked for life!
