ITNCoastalCT Afternoon Tea was a Huge Success

The Afternoon Tea held on August 21, 2013 at the Westport Center for Senior Activities was a huge success. The Tea benefited ITNCoastalCT, a nonprofit organization providing transportation for seniors 60+ and visually impaired adults. More than 40 guests enjoyed tea donated by Bigelow Teas, as well as baked goods from Garelick and Herbs and Great Cakes. Caraluzzi’s Markets also provided support for the event. A classical quartet, the Saugatuck Chamber Players, serenaded guests with various classical music selections.

The event raised approximately $1,000, which will benefit ITNCoastalCT’s Road Scholarship Program, subsidizing the rides of low-income members.

“The event just happened to fall on National Senior Citizens Day. ITN does what it does to benefit seniors and keep them active in the community, so it was nice that we were able to hold an event which so many senior attended” says Hannah Smith, a sophomore at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, and the organizer of the event.
