Wilton Chamber's Director Receives "40 Under 40" Recognition

WILTON, Conn. — Janeen Leppert, executive director of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce, was one of this year’s recipients of the Fairfield County Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards ceremony, the chamber announced.

The 40 Under 40 award recognizes some of the Fairfield County's most successful young professionals, all of whom are younger than 40. At 24, Leppert was this year’s youngest award winner.

“We are so proud that Janeen received this well-deserved honor,” Chamber President Peg Koellmer said in a statement. “She has done a fantastic job for the chamber, especially considering that she is a one-woman office, answering to the board of directors and hundreds of members.”

Leppert, a graduate of High Point University, has been with the chamber for the past two years. During this time, she has organized major fundraisers and community events, as well as several business after hour and membership recruitment drives.

“Janeen is a delight to work with and her efforts have led to our chamber becoming a strong force in the local business community,” Koellmer said.

The awards ceremony was last month at Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk. Two-time U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon, former CEO of the Stamford-based World Wrestling Entertainment, was the event’s keynote speaker. Former Major League Baseball player and manager Bobby Valentine, now the executive director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Sacred Heart University, served as master of ceremonies.
