Weather Advisory: 2-4" Snow; Wilton Schools Canceled

Winter weather advisory: The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for southern Connecticut   for Tuesday Dec, 17, until 6:00p.m. 
Moderate snowfall over most of the tr-state area on Tuesday. 
Timing: Snow will develop during the morning rush and become moderate to locally heavy at times by mid morning. Snow will taper off to snow showers during the start of the afternoon rush hour.
Impacts: Accumulating snow will create slippery roadways and hazardous travel conditions, especially on untreated roadways.The main impact will be in between the morning and afternoon commutes.
 
Forecast is for Snow, mainly before 4:00p.m. on Tuesday. High near 27º with wind chill values as low as zero. East wind 9 to 15 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Tuesday total daytime snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible. 

Tuesday night, a chance of snow, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. North wind 6 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Wilton Schools Closed Tuesday, Dec. 17 due to weather. 

St. Luke's School in New Canaan is closed Tuesday, Dec. 17.
