The National Weather Service's flash flood warning has been downgraded to a flood advisory for the southern Fairfield County area, which will remain in effect until 2:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, according to its Web site.

Drum Hill is closed between Belden Hill Rd and Glen Hill Rd due to down trees and power lines, according to a notification sent by town officials.

A flash flood warning for Southeastern Connecticut has been issued until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the National Weather Service. Flooding may occur from a thunderstorm approaching the area.
"Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creaks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage ares and low lying spots," the warning states.
For Wilton specifically, between a half and three-quarters of rain is expected to fall over the town on Monday. There will also be areas of fog before 3 p.m., according to NWS. Showers and thunderstorms will continue tonight before 11 p.m. with a low around 70 degrees.
