Grab and Go Kid's Planner

Grab the kids and head out for an activity-filled Saturday. This weekend create art, attend a live animal encounter, and see a sensory friendly movie.

Where/When: The Wilton Library/Saturday April 23 from 10am to 5pm.

Why Go: Stop by the library for a fun springtime themed craft. All ages are welcome.

Where/When: Weir Farm National Historic Site in Wilton/Saturday April 23rd,  anytime from 10am to 4pm.

Why Go: Bring kids of all ages along for a creative afternoon using pastels, graphite and colored pencils to draw the wonders that the park has to offer. A professional artist will be on-hand. Materials provided. Take a hike afterwards!

How Much: Free.

 

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk/Saturday April 23 from 11am to noon.

Why Go: Norwalk author Jill Dunn will read her book I Want to Go Green but What Does That Mean

How Much: Included with admission which is $12 for adults and children; seniors are $10; kids under a year old are free.

 

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum for Children/ Saturday April 23from 2pm to 4pm.

Why Go: After a one -hour discussion with Chris Evers of Animal Embassy about preserving global wildlife, Evers will present some of the animals in his collection for kids to get “up close and personal” with. 

How Much: Free with admission. Admission is $12 for adults and children; seniors are $10; kids under a year old are free.

 

Where/When: The Ridgefield Playhouse/Saturday April 23rd at 10am.

Why Go: This is the last film that will be presented at the playhouse for Autism Awareness Month. Alvin & the Chipmunks 2: The Squeakquel will be shown in a safe and accepting environment, with the lights left on and the sound turned down a bit. Kids can shout, walk around, dance, and do whatever their heart desires during the film.
