Wilton Teen Launches New New Social Network

Wilton teen Julianna Yee has launched a new social networking website catering to the needs of teens, tweens, adults and business owners.

Wilton teenager Julianna Yee has launched a new social network called “ThePortalz.”

According to Yee, The Portalz addresses areas "where other social networks fall short." She describes the site as a combination between Facebook and LinkedIn, only better.

ThePortalz.com allows users to create user accounts in three different social networking communities based upon their age; tweens, teens and adults. According to Yee, "individuals assigned to one community cannot communicate with someone from another community unless they are also a part of the same “Private Social Network.”

ThePortalz.com groups all user accounts created by a common administrator in groups to exclusively share information in privacy. ThePortalz.com connects various private social networks together as a way to form a “Linked Private Social Network.”

Each aged-based community has its own set of applications geared towards that particular age group. Businesses will find the new site valuable because if offers them the ability to create interactive business pages, post job openings and banner advertising campaigns.

Yee said she launched the site because  she has "always believed that innovative ideas that can bring about improvement are always important and needs to see the reality of day."
