Award Winning 'Trouble the Water' at Library

The presents Trouble the Water, a stunning new take on Hurricane Katrina, from 7 to 9pm tomorrow, May 18, in the Brubeck Room. The library is pleased to screen this Academy Award Nominee for best feature documentary, and also welcomes guest speaker Carl Deal, who directed the film with Tia Lessin and will be on hand for a Q & A session following the film.

Trouble the Water, winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary 2008 at the SUNDANCE Film Festival, features an original musical score by Neil Davidge and Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, and the music of Dr. John, Mary Mary, Citizen Cope, TK Soul, John Lee Hooker, and the Free Agents Brass Band, and alsointroduces the music of Black Kold Madina.
