Family Howl Prowl

We have a great event coming up in the spirt of the season. On Friday evening, October 22, we are hosting a "Family Fall Howl Prowl." Journey down our driveway on a fall hayride, and spend some time doing fun-filled activities learning all about the misunderstood creatures of the night. For the third year in a row, we will play host to Atka, a wolf from the nearby Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, NY.

Adults and children should bring their flashlights to enjoy a night spotting scavenger hunt along the boardwalk trail and raft trips onto the pond.  WNC naturalists and student volunteers will be bringing out some of the resident animals.  Between activities, participants can warm themselves by a roaring fire in the pavilion and enjoy S'mores.

This will be a howling good time for all ages!  Families can register for either the early session from 5:30 – 7:30 pm or the late session from 6:30– 9:00 pm. The wolf presentation will take place from 7:00 – 7:30 pm for both sessions.

The rain date is Sunday, October 24th with sessions from 12:30 – 2:30 pm and 2:00 – 4:00 pm, with the wolf presentation at 2:00 pm.

The cost per family for this fundraiser is $40 (individuals are $20 each) and reservations are necessary as space is limited. Credit cards will be accepted. This is a non-refundable event. To register, call the center and someone will happily take your credit card (MasterCard or Visa) and sign you up. Children are invited to come in their Halloween costumes.
