Oboe Music of Marcello and Telemann

Sunday, September 30 at Wilton Congregational Church:   Oboe Music of Marcello and Telemann

Oboe player John Hanulik will play music of  Benedetto Marcello and Georg Philipp Telemann for the 10 AM service at Wilton Congregational Church, on September 30.    Hanulik, who plays with the Greenwich Symphony and several chamber groups, studied at The Juilliard School and Curtis Institute.

Baroque composers Marcello (1686-1739) and Telemann (1681–1767) had much in common.   Both came from affluent families that wanted  them to practice law, not music!   Both ultimately devoted themselves to composition, becoming prolific composers.
