Former Wilton Resident and KISS Guitarist Injures Wrist, Cancels Tour Dates

The guitarist liked to rest in Wilton when KISS wasn't on the road, he writes in his new book.

Ace Frehley, that legendary former-KISS guitarist who lived in Wilton during the 1970s, fractured his wrist in a nasty fall during an NYC concert and has now cancelled several tour dates, according to Noise Creep magazine. Frehley’s book, “No Regrets: A Rock ‘N Roll Memoir” was released earlier this month.

In it, he writes “When KISS wasn’t on the road or recording an album, I liked to retreat to Wilton and just hang out with my friends. The place [his house] was so big that I didn’t have to see other people that were there if I didn’t want to.”

Frehley says in his book that during his seven-year tenure in Wilton, he paid $350,000 home and put “another million dollars into it.” Check out this real estate ad for Frehley’s then-going-for $1.5 million home in Wilton, which he apparently sold sometime during the same 70s decade. Anyone know what street this house is on?
