Westchester County submitted the following press release:

It’s “Miller time” – that’s pop-rapper, singer, songwriter Jake Miller – see him live in concert at Rye Playland’s Music Tower Theater Friday, August 23. The show starts at 7 p.m. and fireworks will follow. Playland’s rides will be open from 12 noon through 12 midnight. Opening performances include Action Item, Nick Tangorra and Lucki Gurlz, and MTV will be on site at the Fountain Plaza entrance with a chance to win tickets to the 2013 Video Music Awards (VMAs).

Jake Miller is an up-and-coming musician whose upbeat charm and lyrics gained attention through his homemade YouTube videos. His popularity and wide appeal led to invitations to perform at concerts and festivals alongside many of today’s pop artists such as Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, Ne-Yo, Gym Class Heroes, Big Time Rush and Jason Derulo. In April, he released his EP titled “The Road Less Traveled” through E1 Music, and he will be on tour this fall.
