Description: All townsfolk in the Bethwood Patch Community are warmly invited to the Tulip Time Fair. For five magical hours, the parish house and grounds become Holland. The land of windmills, canals, wooden clogs, and Delftware features amazing bargains, fabulous food, unparalleled finds, and awesome raffles.

Brookfield: An Evening with Dolley Madison

Where: Brookfield Library, 182 Whisconier Road

When: Friday, May 10, 7 p.m.

Cost:  Free

Description: Mrs. Madison will speak about the founding of our nation, the role of her husband, James Madison, as the Father of the American Constitution, and the events of the early Republic.  Carolyn Ivanoff, Housemaster at Shelton Intermediate School, will present the program in period dress.

Middlebury: Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast

Where: Middlebury Parks & Recreation - Shepardson Community Center, 1172 Whittemore Road

Cost:  6 years and over: $7; Under 6: $5; Family Max: $25; Kids under 2 free

Description: Hosted by Middlebury Lions Club for the benefit of the Middlebury Family Services Emergency Fund. Pancakes, sausage, bacon, baked goods, fruit cup, coffee, tea and juice.

New Canaan: Of Mice and Men

Where: The Powerhouse Theater, Waveny Park, New Canaan
