I ventured from my usual drink order of the "Extremely Green" on my last visit to Coffee Story and tried the "Cold Buster" not only for the sake of variety but because it seems all my friends and colleagues are catching bad colds.
The Cold Buster's ingredients are: Carrots, beets, cucumber and spinach, but the predominant taste comes from carrots.
Coffee Story owner Han Lee told me that they are willing to add other ingredients or subtract upon request. I think next time I'd try adding ginger, but it was delicious.
I also tried a sandwich from the new lunch menu, which Lee said is evolving and was written by hand on paper. They are tweaking and adding selections every day. I chose the veggie wrap and Lee said there is always the option of adding avocado. Just ask. I had a choice of plain wrap or whole wheat. Lee said they may add spinach as a wrap option soon.
A few days have passed since my "Cold Buster," and the sneezers that surround me have not taken me down yet. The Cold Buster, as with all the pressed juices, was $5.99. The sandwich, $7.50, was delicious and big enough that I had half for lunch and half for dinner.
