News12: Snowy Weather Sells Sporting Goods

News12 has a report on the high demand for ski and snowboarding equipment because of the recent spate of snowy weather.

While they may mean headaches for school systems, all the recent snow days appear to be a boon for local sports stores.

Many local sporting goods retailers were afraid a struggling economy would mean fewer shoppers, so they didn't order as many winter trappings as usual. But now, they are facing a different problem.

With winter storms blowing through seemingly every few days, many consumers are heading out to stock up on skiing and snowboarding equipment so they can enjoy the local slopes and stores are rushing to meet the demand.
