In Wilton, Peachwave self-serve frozen yogurt welcomed the community to its soft opening back on Halloween.
On Friday, the air was a bit more official, with a ribbon cutting attended by Peachwave's Gregg Roberts, Greg Young, Ryan Ventura, First Selectman William Brennan, Wilton Chamber of Commerce Director Janeen Leppert and Lee Wilson, who owns the building at 142 Old Ridgefield Rd.
Ryan Ventura worked the busy counter on Friday alongside shift managers Leslie Santos, Carlota Charles and Ashley Digirolamo.
"Our after school and weekend workers are almost all Wilton High School students," Ventura said.
The self-serve concept, combined with the options of various toppings from gummy worms to carob chips, has taken hold. There are eight self serve yogurt stations and customers can make different combinations of the flavors. There are gluten-free yogurts as well as sugar-free and non-dairy options.
