For nearly two years, the location formerly occupied by Borders has remained vacant in the Gateway Shopping Center, located at 14 Danbury Road. That location's neighbor, Zeytinia Market, abruptly closed its doors in September 2010. To the right of that location, another retail suite has sat empty since Washington Mutual left.
