HOFFMAN LANDSCAPES TO PARTICIPATE IN PLANET DAY OF SERVICE
Greenwich, CT -- On Tuesday, April 22, 2014, which is officially designated as Earth Day,
Hoffman Landscapes, Inc. will be participating in the (PLANET) Professional Landcare
Network’s yearly Day of Service. Hoffman will be partnering with Greenwich Green and Clean
to remove invasive plants and vines at several area town parks. This is the fifth anniversary of
fhe first Day of Service which took place back on April 22, 2009 and celebrates Earth Day.
PLANET is the national trade association representing “more than100,000 professionals who
create and maintain healthy, green living spaces for communities across America. PLANET
members are committed to the highest standards in industry education, best practices and
business professionalism.”
Greenwich Green and Clean helps organize town-wide clean up days such as this Day of
Service. They work to educate children on recycling and preserving the environment;
landscape traffic islands; organize town-wide clean up days; plant trees, shrubs and flowers
and remove invasive plants in town parks. Their mission is to create a cleaner and more
beautiful environment throughout Greenwich.
