Sharing Thanksgiving with Someone Who Has Nothing

The Immigration Law Offices of Cynthia R. Exner, LLC is a proud sponsor of Tails of Courage, a 501c(3) dog and puppy rescue organization.  Here is Orion's story, in his own words:  “My name is Orion and I am even cuter in person.  I attended the two adoption events this past weekend and everyone LOVED ME!  My fur is so soft and thick.  I am a male Boxer/Beagle mix so I will probably remain a medium sized dog.  I am only a puppy now.

I was born in West Virginia, but my owners didn’t want me.  Some kind rescue workers took me in and called Tails of Courage.  TOC paid for me to be vetted, get all my age appropriate vaccinations, get neutered and micro-chipped.  When the vet determined that I was in great shape, I was loaded into a pet carrier and started my long journey up to Connecticut.  Some wonderful transport drivers caravaned me up to Connecticut, along with about 20 other puppies a couple of weeks ago.  Some of the other puppies have already been adopted, but no one has taken me home with them yet.

Even though I was abandoned, I LOVE LIFE!              I am a typical puppy; I have tons of energy, I love to play, and walk and run.  Someone gave me a toy for the first time, and I had a ball with it.  I grabbed one end of the toy in my mouth and one of the other puppies grabbed the other end and we just tugged and tugged.  It was so much fun!  The world is full of wonderment for me; I enjoy new things, going new places, playing with all the other puppies and playing with children.  I LOVE children.  We roll around on the floor together.  If I could laugh, that is what I would be doing all the time, because I just have fun doing everything.

I don’t know what it’s like to live with a family, because I’ve never lived in a home of my very own.  I have watched some of the other puppies getting adopted and everyone says that they are going to have a great life. With the holidays approaching, I think that I would be a GREAT puppy to take home.  I am always happy, and I could help a family to laugh and enjoy life, just like I do every day.

Tails of Courage, One Pembroke Road, Danbury, CT.  TOC is open every day, 7 days a week, from 9:00 to 5:30 for adoptions.  You can complete an adoption application online at www.tailsofcourage.org and take home a little furry family member the day that you come to TOC and fall in love.

The next Adoption Event is at Choice Pet Supply, 1947 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT on Sunday, November 24, 2013.  Please come and see all of us. There are over 30 puppies, adult dogs, 1 kitten and a mama cat currently at Tails of Courage. As the holiday season approaches, please consider opening your home to a little baby who has nothing.”
