This past weekend Tails of Courage had 7 dogs adopted as a result of our adoption event in Stamford!  We were all thrilled, but there are still so many of us waiting here for our forever families.  This coming weekend Tails of Courage will be holding another adoption event on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Petsmart, 525 Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk, CT from 1 to 3 PM.  December 14th is a day of remembrance in Connecticut.  In our neighboring town of Sandy Hook, little children and educators died last year.  This year, everyone is dedicated to a spirit of giving and caring for each other.  We will all be keeping Sandy Hook in our prayers this weekend.

My name is Bear and people say that I am beautiful.  My birthday just passed.  On December 6, 2013 I turned 1 year old.  I am a male, pure German shepherd.  I was an owner turn-in from Connecticut.  I was living with a wonderful family, but when they had a baby; it was too much for them to handle a newborn baby and me.  One of us had to go, and that was me.  So, Tails of Courage took me in a few weeks ago.  I am very confused.  I was living with a loving family, and suddenly I am living on cement floors in a kennel.

I am fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and house-trained.  I love riding in cars, and I am awesome with kids and cats and I love other dogs.  I do pull when I walk on a leash so I need a little training with leash-walking!

Not all of us are able to attend each adoption event because there isn’t room for all of us in the cargo van, so some of us are left behind at the kennel.  Tails of Courage is located at One Pembroke Road, Danbury, CT and is open every day from 9:00 to 5:30 for adoptions.  Please come and meet us all and let us give you some of our kisses.

As for me, I would like to find a new home, because, “There’s no place like home.”
