Why Go: Celebrate National Trails Day with a hike at the nature center. This is a four to five mile hike so wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget to bring some water to drink. Registration is required. Please call 203.544.9829 x11.

Where/When: Earthplace, the Nature Discovery Center in Westport/Saturday June 4th from 10 a.m to 4 p.m.
Why Go: This all day event that features a walk along the center’s trails will also have fun activities such as a scavenger hunt and trail map making.
How Much: Free with regular admission.
Where/When: Devil’s Den Preserve in Weston/Saturday June 4th from 10 a.m to 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: Gather the family and help clean up the trails at the preserve. Bring a refillable water bottle; water, snacks, tools and gloves will be provided. Register at theden@tnc.org or call 203.226.4991, extension 116.
How Much: Free.
Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk/Saturday June 4th and Saturday June 5th from 10 a.m to 5 p.m.
Why Go: This two-day event features canine professionals on Saturday and a dog-walk on Sunday.
How Much: $5 plus museum admission.
