Enjoy the last couple weekends with the kids before they head back to school.

Agricultural Fair and Exposition

Where/When: Cannon Grange 25 Cannon Road Wilton 203.762.1900/Sunday August 21st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Spend one of the last weekends of the summer with the kids playing games, making crafts and enjoying all the agricultural fair has to offer.

Shakespeare on the “Green”

Where/When: The Ridgefield Playhouse/Saturday August 20 beginning at noon.

Why Go: Revamped for families, A Comedy of Errors, will be performed at 2 p.m. Beginning at noon prior to the play, a Green Expo will be underway in the field next to the playhouse complete with face painting by Enchanted Garden.

How Much: Free, but there are a limited amount of seats. Call 203-438-4795 to reserve. Standing room is available if all of the seats sell out.

 

All Holiday Picnic

Where/When: The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield/Sunday August 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Fourth of July and all holidays all at once in the museum’s sculpture garden. Bring holiday foods, wear holiday attire and don’t forget to bring your festive flair.

How Much: Free with the price of admission. Adults are $7, seniors and college students are $4 and children 18 years and under are free.

 

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament

Where/When: Westport Public Library/Friday August 19 at 4 p.m.

Why Go: Got a video game prodigy on your hands? Then head to the Westport Library for a Wii tournament like no other.

How Much: Free, but register in advance.

 

Around the World Performance Series

Where/When: Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk/Saturday August 20 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Singing With All Your Senses: A Musical Journey to Finland will feature performances by virtuoso flutist Ulla Suokko and William Schimmel who is regarded as The World’s Greatest Accordionist by National Public Radio.

How Much: Included with museum admission which is $14 for adults and children, $10 for seniors and free admission for children under a year old.
