Original story:
A powerful storm that moved through the state last night has left thousands across Connecticut without power Thursday morning.
According to the Connecticut Light & Power outage map, currently 953 customers in Wilton are without power as of 9:59 a.m. That's about 13 percent of their 7,321 users.
Schools were delayed this morning. At 6:25 a.m., Dr. Gary Richards, superintendent, announced a two-hour delay.
Earlier this morning, police sent out notifications that Belden Hill Road, Skunk Lane and Deforest Road were closed, and Nod Road had one lane opened to traffic.
Metro-North is also directing New Haven Line customers traveling eastbound to Noroton Heights, Darien, Rowayton, East Norwalk, Westport and Greens Farms that they must take a train to Southport then get a westbound train to get access to these stations due to wire issues in the area.
