Summer Movies for Kids, Theatre, and the Bridgeport Blue Fish

This weekend more movies will be playing at the Wilton Library, the Wilton Y is teaming up with the Bridgeport Bluefish and there will be dancing and music at the Ridgefield Playhouse.

Where/When: Wilton Library/Friday August 5th from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Why Go: What’s cuter than fuzzy bunnies and baby chicks? Fuzzy bunnies and baby chicks playing with their duckling friends! Bunny Play Date is a movie mainly geared toward children under five years old. Caregivers must be present for children under eight years old and in the building for children under twelve.

Why Go: Children appropriate for a PG movie can enjoy Rango, the computer-animated movie that features the popular chameleon. The movie will be shown with snacks provided. Caregiver rules above apply.

How Much: Free

 

Wilton Family Y and the Bridgeport Bluefish

Where/When: The Ballpark at Harbor Yard located at 500 Main Street in Bridgeport/Sunday August 7th. Game starts at 2:05 p.m. but gates open at 1:05 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy a fun filled game of baseball with the Bridgeport Bluefish vs. the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.  

How Much: $15 per ticket for Field Box seats. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Wilton YMCA.

 

Crazy for You

Where/When: The Ridgefield Playhouse/Saturday August 6th at 8 p.m. and Sunday August 7th at 2 p.m.

Why Go: Bring the kids to the theater this weekend! The playhouse’s production of Crazy for You will feature acting, dancing and a live orchestra.

How Much: Orchestra seats are $30; mezzanine tickets are $25.

 

Sharks & Fish Marine Biology Public Program

Where/When: The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk/Saturday August 6th

Why Go: It’s Shark Week! Children seven years and older are invited to compare and contrast sharks and fish, examine shark jaw bones and teeth, and even portion out the aquarium’s shark food. Program lasts sixty minutes.

How Much: Admission to the aquarium is $12.95 for adults, $11.95 for senior citizens sixty-five and over and $9.95 for kids between two and twelve years old. The program can be added onto regular admission for an additional $5.
