Dr. Paul Epstein, Westport naturopathic physician, mind-body therapist, and mindfulness meditation teacher, will speak at the Westport Sunrise Rotary Club breakfast meeting at Bobby Q’s, 42 Main St., Westport, on February 15 at 7:30 a.m.
“Even in the wake of traumas that we in Connecticut had and are still experiencing, the effects and damages of Hurricane Sandy, and the horrible tragedy and pain of Newtown, many people showed and responded with resilience,” said Epstein, a Westport resident. “Resilience can be developed, cultivated, and enhanced.”
Epstein is an international teacher, speaker, and author with more than 30 years experience in mind-body integrative medicine, natural healing, and relationship-centered care. He co-founded and co-directed the Israel Center for Mind-Body Medicine. Locally, Epstein teaches ongoing mind-body health classes at the Westport Center for Senior Activities.
Epstein specializes in supporting and treating people with stress and lifestyle-related diseases and immune system disorders, including heart disease, cancer, weight concerns, irritable bowel syndrome, anxiety, insomnia, chronic illness, and chronic pain syndromes. In his spare time, Epstein enjoys travelling and kayaking.
“Serenity is not freedom from the storm, it is peace amidst the storm,” he said.
Guests are welcome to join the event. There is a $12 fee for the meeting, which includes a breakfast buffet.
