- CT Transit, Stamford bus service: "local routes & the I-BUS Express will operate on a regular schedule, with reduced Commuter Connection service on Monday"

- Banks have the option of staying open or closed — in practice, all or nearly all are closed on Christmas Day (and this is one of the four holidays this year that even TD Bank is closed)

- Wilton YMCA closed (until Dec. 26)
- Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk
OPEN Christmas Day:
- Dunkin Donuts — Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Metro-North
The following information is from the Metro-North website:
- "To get you in the holiday mood, we are providing extra early getaway service on Friday, December 21, with trains departing Grand Central starting around 12 noon. (Because of light ridership in the PM period, some trains may be canceled or combined. See a current timetable for train times or visit our schedules page.)
- "Since the holidays will almost be upon us, any of you last minute “gift-givers” will want to take advantage of our “Shoppers’ Special” service on Saturday, December 22 and Sunday, December 23.
- "On Christmas Eve, Monday, December 24, we will operate a Saturday schedule with extra service in the AM and PM peak periods. (Helpful holiday tip: you really shouldn’t wait until this day to finish your shopping.
