As of about 2:30p.m.
Carol Young-Kleinfeld at the Wilton Registrars office reports the following:

Wilton has had 3 Election Day Registration voters—one of these had just turned 18.   Wilton’s turnout is about  5.5% at 2 pm.

To show how sensitive our voting machines are: One of our polling places reported that their voting machine had rejected a voter’s ballot as “invalid”. It took her several minutes of careful examination to notice that she had inadvertently made a tiny mark—no larger than a comma—too close to the marks at the edge of the ballot.  The replacement ballot worked just fine."

According to Wilton's Registrars, Carole Young-Kleinfeld (D) and Tina Gardner (R), voters this year will be able to register to vote and cast a ballot on Tuesday for the Town's municipal election.

Same day registration and voting is only available at the Town Hall Conference Room between 6:00a.m. and 8:00p.m. with proof of identification and proof of residence.
