January 1, 2013 – Unemployed business professionals, especially those over the age of 50, are facing uphill odds in securing positions similar to those they left during “the great recession.”  Many have created their own jobs by starting a small business.  Mr. Brimmer’s presentation will cover the pros and cons of going into business and he’ll walk the audience through the key issues facing executives when they decide on which of the various types of business ventures to undertake.

Further, Bill will evaluate your suitability to franchising and/or other business ownership, analyze three options for going into business, explain how to finance a new business, and how to identify the best business option for you while building your personal business model.

Mr. Brimmer is a strategic business advisor, career coach and sales trainer.  He is currently affiliated with FranNet (One of Inc. Magazine’s Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America) as a Franchise Specialist; Learning Dyamics (an international training/workforce development organization) as a Senior Consultant; Newtown Savings Bank as a member of their Board of Trustees;  the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board (Waterbury, CT) as a member of their Board of Directors.  Bill’s career background also includes eight years as a Regional Vice President for Right Management (a leading HR services/outplacement company.)   He holds a B.S. in Business from Pacific Western University.

The public is invited to attend.  For further information, contact Ed Thomas at 203-981-4648 or via email at ejjthomasjr@gmail.com.
