On Wednesday, January 23rd, from 9:30-11:30 AM, Town & Country Montessori will host an Open House for prospective parents.  During your visit, you will have a tour of the school, sit in on the classroom to observe our Montessori environment firsthand, and speak to current parents over refreshments.  Please call to schedule your appointment for your personal tour.

Town & Country Montessori is a non-profit Montessori Primary school that has served children ages two years and nine months to six years of age for nearly thirty years.  The 2013-2014 school year marks the celebration of Town & Country Montessori’s 30th Anniversary!  Over the course of the three-year learning cycle of the Primary Montessori classroom, the children who attend our five-day program work with materials in the areas of Practical Life, Sensorial Development, Math, Language, Geography, Science, Art, and Peace.  Our curriculum includes Music, Spanish, Yoga, and Maritime Studies (through the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk).  Grace and Courtesy form the foundation upon which all interactions among the children and staff take place, creating the tranquil and altruistic atmosphere of our classroom.  Each day, all students attend the mixed-age Morning Session.  From Monday through Thursday, the five-year olds continue their day with afternoon Kindergarten, which we call Extended Day. Seasonal, after-school enrichment includes Karate as well as a developmental sports clinic through Gilman Sports.  After-school childcare is also available.  Our focus is on each child as an individual. Each child proceeds through the sequence of materials at his or her own pace in order to develop independence and confidence in doing the work of creating him or herself.  We invite you to experience our exceptional school for yourself.
