Meet a new Doggie friend AND Learn
More about PAWS Animal Shelter in Norwalk!

NEW CANAAN, Conn. ̶   On Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 at
Village Critter Outfitter, there will be a community service event with PAWS
Animal Shelter and Girl Scout Troop 121.



The 5th grade Girl Scout group has organized this community
outreach event as part of the Girl Scout Bronze Award. They have collected much
needed items for PAWS, sewn handmade dog and cat toys and baked treats to raise
money for the shelter, as well. As part of this Award, the Girl Scouts will be
assisting with New Canaan Dogs Days on June 8th from 12:00 – 3:00.

During the event on Sunday, May 4th from 1:00-2:00 the girl
scouts will be having craft activities for kids. PAWS will bring a shelter dog
and will have a short demonstration on the proper way to interact with a dog,
discuss the shelter mission and and learn the process of pet adoption.



PAWS will be one of the recipients at the New Canaan Dog Days event. “We are
delighted to support the Girl Scout Award initiative that promotes compassion
and caring towards animals”, states Village Critter Outfitter owner, Shirleen
Dubuque.
