MINDFUL MEDITATION

Our first one-day preview to the Mindful Meditation workshop that will be held in January was a sold-out success. Matan has graciously agreed to offer an evening meditation. This is yet another event in my ongoing quest to help make mindfulness a part of your daily life.

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around you and with what you are doing.

In the practice of mindfulness, we begin by utilizing one-pointed attention to cultivate calmness and stability. We then move beyond that by introducing a wider scope of observation with an element of inquiry. Practicing mindfulness improves both mental and physical health.

The meditation will be lead by Matan Cohen-Citron. He is a yoga instructor, meditation leader and provides individual yoga therapy for clients in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Time: 7 - 8 PM

Cost: $25 per person
