Reel Mondays: The Money Lobby

Reel Mondays: The Money Lobby
Monday, Jan. 27, 7 – 9:30 p.m.  The Wilton League of Women Voters and Wilton Library present 'The Money Lobby' in the second in this season's series of provocative documentary films.  The focus is on the influence of money on U.S. elections in light of the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United that allowed unlimited contributions from Political Action Committees (PACs and Super PACs).    The discussion that will follow the showing promises to be a lively one, as the film is indeed “provocative” not only for its content but for its source, Press TV, a state-funded subsidiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).  Come decide for yourself and then join the discussion. Refreshments served. No charge, although donations are welcome. Co-sponsored by the Wilton League of Women Voters and Wilton Library. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton; www.wiltonlibrary.org; (203) 762-3950.
