GUEST BARTENDING FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT WILTON YOUTH SOCCER PLAYERS

MARLY’S RESTAURANT APRIL 8 FROM 7:00 – 11:00PM

Sixteen female
athletes have been invited to the San Marino Soccer Cup this summer

(WILTON, CT) – There are sixteen Wilton girls looking
forward to an exciting summer of opportunities to showcase their athletic
talents. After an impressive 2012-2013 season, the girls were invited to play
at the San Marino Cup, a six-day tournament that is the largest youth soccer
tournament for girls and boys in Europe, with more than 200 teams competing.

Facing fundraising and scheduling hurdles in an attempt to
make the event last year, the trip had been postponed, and the girls will be
attending this summer in mid-July. This summer also marks the girls' transition
from eighth grade to high school, and their parents and coaches see the
experience as a great way to inspire other young athletes with similar
aspirations, as well as encourage these sixteen players to continue their
involvement in sports. The girls' coach, Abby Allan, explained the
inspirational value of the trip and its future potential, saying, “We want this
to become a yearly opportunity for our future players”.

The athletes attending the 2014 San Marino Cup are Lauren
Chiappetta, Anna Cocoros, Victoria Curley, Lacey Eller, Taylor Floyd, Caitlin
Gilroy, Eva Greco, Cara Kilmartin, Madeline LeBeau, Lilly MacDonald, Emme
McClintock, Olivia Roman, Sophia Schmidt, Ana Sudano, Thaise Sudano, and Chloe
Zimmermann.  Their coach Abby Allan
and Soccer Extreme president John Salvatore will accompany them.

Seeing the benefit to both the wider community of young
athletes in Wilton as well as these sixteen players, ten local residents
consisting of eighth grade moms and dads are donating their time to a special
fundraising event. All ten of them will
be guest bartending at Marly’s, Bistro 101 Old Ridgefield Road in Wilton, CT,
on April 8th from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. Proceeds from this fundraising effort will
go towards tournament entry fees, travel expenses, and uniforms.
There will
be many exciting raffle items, including a session at Kristine Lilly’s Soccer
Camp, and a signed Magic Johnson jersey,
as well as a silent auction featuring a variety of gift baskets.

Come support local youth, enjoy a drink made by friends and
neighbors, and experience a night out for a good cause!

Can't attend the event but want to support the girls? Your
donation will be much appreciated! Please make out checks to “Italy Tour 2014”
