The next selection for Wilton Library's community reads program, Wilton Reads, is celebrated author Attica Locke's latest page-turner, The Cutting Season. Ms. Locke's first novel, Black Water Rising, delivered one of the most stunning fiction debuts in recent memory, garnering effusive critical praise, several award nominations, and passionate reader response. Now Ms. Locke returns with The Cutting Season, a riveting historical thriller that intertwines two murders separated across more than a century. Courtesy of the Grodin Family Fine Writers Fund, 100 books will be distributed free on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 10 am on August 28. In recognition of her exemplary contributions to contemporary literature, Ms. Locke will become the fifth recipient of Wilton Library's Grodin Family Fine Writers Award when she speaks at the Library on September 27.
