Relay For Life of Wilton

An overnite community walk to benefit the American Cancer Society


Relay For Life of Wilton cordially invites the community to join us a the Wilton High School Track- 395 Danbury Road- on Friday May 13,
for the 14th Annual Relay in Wilton where we will gathertogether to celebrate the lives of our friends and family who have been touched by cancer. Our annual multi- generational fundraiser  for the American Cancer Society helps to keep the fight going against cancer and this year 75 teams and 700 participants have registered to participate.

 A full schedule of activities is planned to which the public is invited . Highlights include the Opening Ceremony at 7pm followed by the Survivior and Caregiver Lap, a first in Wilton Relay history- a wedding -of our beloved Danielle Waring to Paulo Bernardo at 8pm-  the moving and inspiring Luminaria Ceremony where we honor loved ones at 9 pm , the Fight Back Ceremony at midnight and Sunrise Ceremony and Final Lap around 5:30 am. All evening there will be performances by some of Wilton's finest musicans including Relay Talent, Acoustic Wilton, Bob's Your Uncle, Heatherbird, Circuit, Reef and Downstairs Mix Up Ryan Amodei.

The community is welcome and is asked to bring a donation and participate in the fundraisers. Teams and participants are able to register the day of . Luminarias will also be available for purchase Friday night. Raffle Winners will be announced at 10:30. 3:00- 5:30- Kids Care -activities/games for K-5

4-7 - Pantene Beautiful Lengths Hair Cutting - girls/ women may come and have their hair cut to help make wigs for cancer patients.

 

5:00- Survivor and Caregiver Dinner ( by invitation)

5:15  Relay Talent featuring some of Wilton’s top up and coming talent

6:30- Joan Wallace and the Wilton Congregational Church Contemporary Band

7:00   Opening Ceremony – including Boy Scout Troop 125, First Selectman William Brennan, Honorary Chairs- Morgan Denslow and Mike Francia, Norwalk Hospital Dr.

7:20- Survivor Lap/Survivor Caregiver Lap/ /Walk with a Hero- Wilton Fire Dept/Cert/EMT  

8:00- Wedding Ceremony of Danielle Waring and Paulo Bernardo

8:30  Acoustic Wilton

9:00 –Luminaria Ceremony – walking in candlelight in honor of loved ones

9:45-Bob”s Your Uncle

10:45- Heatherbird

11:30- Circuit

Midnight: Fight Back Ceremony

12:15  Zumba

12:30-2am- COFFEEHOUSE in Survivor Tent: Chris Dehn, Annie Diamond, Austin Schaefer,Emily Lutz, Liane Knapp

1:00 am- Reef

5:30- Sunrise “ Why I Relay “Ceremony and Final Lap
